| Calls for 6 extensions of varying lengths with a sliding section to provide a range between given pitches. The notes do say that 9 extensions were used in the premiere and dimensions are given for 9. The Slides are manipulated with the feet. The lowest note is a Bb - the space two ledger lines below the bottom of the bass clef.
